1997 was the year that brought us Rutger Hauer dry humping in his trenchcoat in a public shower and it also brought us Judge Reinhold in his skivvies doing karate in his apartment. So we decided to celebrate this wonderful moment in time by doing reviews of the Rutger Hauer dystopian future by way of Nu Image Films called Redline and we also tackled the sequel to the Thomas Ian Griffith dtv classic Crackerjack that had Judge Reinhold stepping into those boots in Crackerjack 2! The boys are still in vacay mode after the fallout from the big 2016 end of year bonanza so they decide to slooooow things down a little and partake in some off-kilter criminess by way of Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans and Chris McQuarrie's The Way of the Gun. Don't fret though, despite the slower pace they still discover enough energy for a few giggles and several granny hand slaps along the way. The year of our lord 2016 has come to a close and it's our God bound duty as Americans (and kinda sorta as a Canadian) to talk about all the junk we watched, loved and hated last year. Too much alcohol is imbibed, dirty laundry is aired, dumb arguments are had and bonds are permanently stressed to their breaking points as the worst year in human history is summed up in one 7 hour gelatinous mass of hate and anger! Send us your opinions of stuff at: cultofmuscle@gmail.com Come hang out in our friend pit at: facebook.com/groups/cultofmuscle Look at our tumblr junk at: cultofmuscle.tumblr.com Buy a shirt or something at: redbubble.com/people/cultofmuscle/shop

This week we bring in fellow podcasting rascal Dynamo Marz from Trick or Treat Radio, The Elm St. Kids Movie Club, and The Deadites to help us take a look at the seminal 90's Hong Kong film Young and Dangerous. We also open the doors for the first time on the show to the king of genre deviance, Takashi Miike, with a review of his film Crows Zero! This week CD-R attempts to baffle poor Jakey with two very unique, very different kinds of mysteries. The mystery of how a Hollywood film production can feature full frontal child nudity along with the mysteries entombed in Jean Jacques Annaud's The Name of the Rose and Arthur Penn's Night Moves!
